01Live Edge Dining TableMission, Calgary
Bookmatched Walnut Live Edge Dining Table — Mission, Calgary

A 96" bookmatched walnut slab for a Mission highrise

Wood
Black walnut (bookmatched slabs)
Dimensions
96" × 42" × 1.75" thick
Finish
Osmo Hardwax Oil — satin
Base
Matte black powder-coated steel X-base
Timeline
6 weeks

The Challenge

The clients had a 10th-floor corner unit in Mission with floor-to-ceiling windows and a strict elevator size limit of 84" for furniture delivery. They wanted a table that could seat eight comfortably and showcase the natural grain of the wood without competing with the mountain view.

The Solution

We sourced a matched pair of black walnut slabs from the same log, bookmatching them so the grain mirrors across the centre seam. The table was built in two halves that bolt together on-site, allowing delivery through the elevator. The live edge faces outward on both long sides, and the natural voids were filled with clear epoxy to preserve the organic character of the slab. The matte black X-base keeps the visual weight low so the view stays the star.

The Result

The finished table seats eight with room to spare and has become the centrepiece of the clients' entertaining space. The bookmatched grain draws compliments from every guest, and the two-piece construction means it can move with them if they ever leave the building.

02Epoxy River Dining TableAltadore, Calgary
Blue Epoxy River Walnut Dining Table — Altadore, Calgary

A deep-blue river table for a modern Altadore kitchen renovation

Wood
Black walnut (live edge slabs)
Dimensions
84" × 38" × 1.5" thick
Finish
Osmo Hardwax Oil — matte
Base
Matte black powder-coated U-base
Timeline
5 weeks

The Challenge

A young family in Altadore was renovating their open-concept kitchen and wanted a dining table that would anchor the space with colour without clashing with their new navy cabinetry. They had seen epoxy river tables online but were concerned about durability with two young children.

The Solution

We selected two walnut slabs with a natural void running down the centre and poured a deep ocean-blue epoxy river with a slight metallic shimmer. The epoxy was mixed in multiple layers to achieve depth and eliminate bubbles. The surface was finished with Osmo Hardwax Oil rather than a film finish, making it easy to spot-repair if scratched. The U-base was chosen for its clean profile and the unobstructed legroom it provides for a family of four.

The Result

The table has been in daily use for over a year with no issues. The blue river picks up the navy cabinetry perfectly, and the family reports that the Osmo finish has held up to everything their kids can throw at it — literally.

03Conference TableBeltline, Calgary
Custom Conference Table for Calgary Tech Office — Beltline

A 12-foot walnut conference table for a Beltline tech startup

Wood
Black walnut (straight-edge slab)
Dimensions
144" × 48" × 2" thick
Finish
Osmo Hardwax Oil — satin
Base
Brushed steel trestle base with cable management
Timeline
7 weeks

The Challenge

A fast-growing tech company in the Beltline needed a boardroom table that could seat 12, accommodate power and data cables cleanly, and project the confidence of a company that had outgrown its startup roots. Budget was a consideration, but they did not want a laminate table.

The Solution

We built a 12-foot straight-edge walnut slab table with a 2" thick top for visual weight and presence. The trestle base was fabricated from brushed steel with a recessed cable tray running the full length of the table, keeping power bars and laptop cables off the surface. The company logo was laser-engraved into the end grain at one end of the table — subtle enough to be professional, visible enough to be noticed in video calls.

The Result

The table has been the backdrop for the company's investor presentations and client meetings ever since. The CEO told us it was the first piece of furniture in the office that made them feel like a real company.

Live Edge Walnut Floating Shelves — Springbank Home Office

A full wall of live edge walnut shelves for a Springbank home office

Wood
Black walnut (live edge slabs)
Dimensions
3 shelves × 72" × 14" × 2" thick
Finish
Osmo Hardwax Oil — matte
Base
Concealed steel rod brackets (hidden in wall)
Timeline
3 weeks

The Challenge

A Springbank homeowner was converting a spare bedroom into a home office and wanted built-in shelving that looked custom without the cost of full cabinetry. The wall was a 9-foot span with a window centred in it, requiring the shelves to wrap around the window on both sides.

The Solution

We cut three walnut slabs to length and matched the live edge profiles so the natural curves flow consistently across all three shelves. Concealed steel rod brackets were installed into the wall studs, allowing the shelves to appear to float with no visible hardware. The window interruption was handled by mitering the shelf ends to a clean 45° so the shelves read as continuous from across the room.

The Result

The shelves transformed the room from a spare bedroom into a professional home office. The client uses the space for video calls and reports that the shelves are consistently the first thing people comment on in the background.

Walnut Teal Epoxy Credenza — Marda Loop, Calgary

A statement credenza with teal ocean epoxy for a Marda Loop dining room

Wood
Black walnut (flat-sawn)
Dimensions
72" × 18" × 32" tall
Finish
Osmo Hardwax Oil — satin
Base
Solid walnut tapered legs
Timeline
8 weeks

The Challenge

A couple in Marda Loop wanted a credenza for their dining room that would serve as both storage and art. They had a teal accent wall and wanted the piece to feel like it belonged in a gallery rather than a furniture store. They also needed practical storage for linens and a bar setup.

The Solution

We designed a two-door credenza with a teal ocean epoxy panel inset into each door face. The epoxy was poured in layers to create depth and movement, mimicking the look of water over a reef. The interior was fitted with an adjustable shelf on one side and a pull-out bar tray on the other. Solid walnut tapered legs lift the piece off the floor to keep it from feeling heavy in the room.

The Result

The credenza has been featured in two local interior design Instagram accounts and the clients have been asked repeatedly where they bought it. It is the only piece of furniture in the room that people walk up to touch.

06Coffee TableRocky Ridge, Calgary
Black Epoxy Walnut Coffee Table — Rocky Ridge, Calgary

A round live edge walnut coffee table with black epoxy fills for a Rocky Ridge living room

Wood
Black walnut (round slab)
Dimensions
48" diameter × 1.75" thick
Finish
Osmo Hardwax Oil — matte
Base
Matte black hairpin legs
Timeline
4 weeks

The Challenge

A family in Rocky Ridge had a large sectional sofa and needed a coffee table that could anchor the seating area without blocking sightlines to the fireplace. They wanted something organic and natural that would contrast with their otherwise modern interior.

The Solution

We selected a round walnut slab with natural voids and cracks running through it and filled them with black epoxy to create a striking contrast against the warm walnut grain. The round shape keeps the table from feeling blocky in front of the sectional, and the hairpin legs keep the visual weight minimal. The matte Osmo finish keeps the surface looking natural rather than plastic.

The Result

The table has become the most-photographed piece in the home. The clients sent us photos of it styled with books and plants for their holiday card, and have since commissioned a matching console table for their entryway.
